WATERAGRI’s thematic related project Waterdrive has completed successfully. Waterdrive was an Interreg Baltic Sea Region Program funded project 2019-2021. The aim of the project was to explore smarter and more cost-efficient management of water in agricultural landscapes and provide solutions that combine benefits for water, climate, drought, food security and rural development. Participating countries were Poland, Estonia, Russia, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden.
The general finding is that local cross-sector joint action is an excellent method for solving complex issues concerning water management and other sustainability challenges in parallel. WATERAGRI Consortium will make sure to use conclusions, findings and results from Waterdrive project for the investigations related to the water management in agriculture.
