WATERAGRI partners from Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) and University of Debrecen (UNIDEB) participated at EGU Galileo Conference from 12th to 15th June 2023 in the Naples, Italy. The 8th Galileo Conference was organized by the Interdepartmental Center for Environmental Research (C.I.R.A.M.) of the University of Naples Federico II at the Historical Complex of Saints Marcellino and Festo.
Klaus Görgen, Heye Bogena and Harrie-Jan Hendricks-Franssen represented FZJ with oral presentation titled From observations towards operational site-specific soil moisture ensemble forecasting, while János Tamás and Zsolt Fehér represented UNIDEB with two poster presentations: 1. Assessment of UAV-based LiDAR and photogrammetry data in crop morphology monitoring for advanced irrigation, 2. Mobile photogrammetric raster clouds to apply classification of time series data.
Conference attracted a diverse audience consisting of university representatives, researchers, scientists, and related stakeholders from around the globe. Around 100 participants shared expertise and scientific understanding on an international scale.
