One Day We Will Dance with You is a short educational film about celebrating water and sustainability made as part of the public engagement collaboration between WATERAGRI and the art project, Water is Attracted to Water. We are delighted to announce it will be showing at the Water Docs 10th anniversary festival, Resurge: Canadian Film Festivals for a Livable Climate.
The film includes information about WATERAGRI; encourages connection to science and the natural world; and shares the community dance, the Water Molecule Dance to create a sense of community in the context of the climate-changed world. It had its European premiere at the Smaragdi Eco Film Festival last month, touring to four towns in Croatia along the river Una and it is great to have the North American and online premiere at a major festival like Resurge, to coincide with COP26.
Information, program, and festival passes are available through the Waterdocs Resurge website. The festival runs online from 9 – 14 November 2021, on-demand till 30th November.
Kate Adams, artistic director of Water is Attracted to Water spoke to us about the festival:
“We are really honored to be part of the Resurge Festival. I am fascinated by the ways that the arts can open up a deeper engagement for the public with science and the natural world and this is an amazing opportunity. Ecologos who organize the festival have been doing educational work on water and sustainability through the arts and documentaries for many years. The festival has so many amazing international films and events. It’s great to have our work shared through this platform.”
