The European Space Agency (ESA) and the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences are jointly arranging an intensive training program called the Advanced Training Course on Land Remote Sensing. This course aims to educate and equip upcoming Earth Observation (EO) scientists and professionals specializing in hydrology and related hazards.
The course will take place from September 25th to 29th, 2023, at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Poland. It is open for application to postgraduate students, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and professionals from European countries and Canada who are interested in the applications of Earth Observation in water cycle, hydrology, and hazards.
The Advanced Training Course focuses on remote sensing for hydrology and hazards, aiming to train the next generation of scientists. It covers theoretical principles, data processing, and the use of EO satellite data, particularly Sentinels and SAR missions. The course promotes EO‘s application in water cycle science, water management, and hazard analysis. It also demonstrates cloud-based, large-scale EO data processing.
