WATERAGRI at IAEA International Symposium

During the summer, partners from University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences participated in international conference International Symposium on Managing Land and Water for Climate-Smart Agricultureheld in Vienna, Austria from 25-29 July. Symposium were organized by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) aimed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge among soil, water and environment professionals from developed and developing countries to advance the understanding, collaboration and capabilities to respond to the impact of climate change in a rapidly changing global environment.

During the conference, results from WATERAGRI project were presented within the poster entitled Tracing the attenuation of δ18O and δ2H in the unsaturated zone for different soil textures and biogeographic regions explaining how the effect of management practices on soil water status can help us choose more sustainable agricultural practices. Conference audience and attendees numbered 600 researchers from universities and research institutes.
